Welcome to the Den
Hello, dear reader! Welcome to the Den of Dollars, a blog where I hope to discuss personal finance in a way that’s accessible and fun.
A little bit about myself. I currently work in the Midwestern part of the United States as an environmental engineer. Outside of my day job, I play tennis, fence, do karate, and spend inordinate amounts of time on Reddit (specifically on r/personalfinance). Oh and I read a ton of manga and what a lot of anime. I’ll probably write about all of my interests at some point (and I PROMISE it won’t be related to personal finance).
“But Chuku…”, you ask (that’s my name), “what qualifies you to talk about and give advice on personal finance-related issues and why should I listen to you?”. You know what? Nothing… other than that I have a lot to say and I want to share my money views. It’s my hope that you all will find my posts helpful for your finances.
On this blog, I will touch upon a wide range of topics from buying a car to how credit scores have become so important. There may be lots of numbers flying about but I will always bring it back to what’s personal and keep it simple.
So, dear reader, I hope that you read and enjoy what I have to say. More importantly, I hope that you get something useful from my blog. If you don’t agree with everything (or anything) I have to say, you’re more than welcome to share your feelings in the comments section or via e-mail (at denofdollarsblog@gmail.com).
With that said, welcome to the Den and stay tuned for more!
